Falmouth Health Care Rangers

We're still hold up in Falmouth MA far from the ADT. I just got orthotic inserts that will hopefully speed my recovery. We're hoping that my feet come around and we can get in shape in July to resume the walk in August.

In the meantime, we're doing some organizing for this summer's big health care reform push. Today we're hosting an informal garden party in Jenny's parents' backyard to drink beer and wine and talk about healthcare reform. We're anticipating about 20 people will attend and we hope we can encourage them to work for authentic health care reform legislation.

Wish us luck.

  1. Best of luck on both the health care reform push and the healing! I'm Ann Roberts' cousin - have been so enjoying the blog and feeling your pain, Rick - I've had several bouts of PF myself and it can just be miserable and debilitating. BTW - my boyfriend lives a couple of hours from Point Reyes - so we went there, in your honor, in May - sending positive vibes from the West to the East for a healthy and happy trip for you both!

  2. Rick and Jenny -
Yes you can! If I remember, this was an early theme of your trip, and now appears to live on beyond the walking trail to the healthcare campaign trail. Kudos for engaging the discussion with friends and neighbors. My contribution...as a small business owner, I pay through the nose for employee healthcare. For bigger companies, it has to be an even greater burden. I don't get why they aren't all lining up behind the reform plan. Off the soapbox now. Here's to a speedy recovery and a return to the trail in August.

    Love, C&M
