The blog is called "in route...". The URL is dudewheresmygoat.blogspot.com which is a reference to our ongoing discussion regarding the pros and cons of having a goat along for the walk.
PROS
the goat can pull a cart with our cats and other amenities
Congrats on your commencement of The Big Trek!! Getting to the starting line is half the work (well, not quite...). I only regret that you did not consult me more extensively on gear selection... Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow and Friday in Silver Spring, MD, and hoping to walk some of the C&O Canal with Ann, Sophie, Zach and you on Saturday afternoon. (BTW, it's C&O, not B&O.) Go git 'em!!
On April Fools Day we are going to start started walking across the country on the American Discovery Trail. Our route starts at Cape Henlopen State Park in Delaware and terminates at Point Reyes, California.
Our comprehensive plan has two phases: don't quit for two weeks, see how it goes.
We'll be posting updates on progress or otherwise on the blog including links to our google map of the route.
If you see us give us a bath. Your neighbors will thank you.
and goats are so warm and snuggly on those cold winter nights in deliverance country.
